Lamborghini Murcielago

The Lamborghini Murciélago is quite a car. At only $300,000 it’s known as a fairly attainable super car, but is also capable of chewing up the competition. The Murcielago is popular for it’s rocket-like engine, reaching 100 miles per hour in under 9 seconds (that will put your heart in your throat), but is due to it’s weight and size, the handling and breaking tends to suffer.
.
In addition to the standard Murcielago, you can purchase the Murcielago Roadster which is an open topped version. The provided canvas top may not be able to stand up to the crazy speeds fo this Lamborghini though, the owner’s manual tells you not to drive over 100mph with the canvas top on.

.

This Lamborghini is sure to blow everyone’s doors off, while keeping it’s perfectly verticle.

Tesla Roadster

Tesla Roadster

Electric cars have been around for almost a century, but compared to gas-powered cars, they lagged far behind in terms of range and performance. The Tesla Roadster’s key is its advanced battery pack. With lithium-ion composition (this is something only Tesla has currently), the battery pack allows a range of more than 200 miles and acceleration performance that’s equal to the world’s best sports cars.

Does the Tesla happen to look familiar to you - that’s probably because it’s basically a restyled Lotus Elise. The Lotus and the Tesla share exterior stylings, as well as removable hard tops. Despite the exterior similarities, the interior if vastly different from the Lotus. The Tesla Roadster has a weight distribution that leans more towards the rear (35 / 65 for the Tesla, and 39/61 for the Lotus).

With a 13,500 rpm red line, the Tesla Roadster is a real bullet. As the technology is refined, we’re sure to see faster and more efficient versions being marketed.

Ariel Atom

Ariel Atom on the track

The Ariel Atom is a face distorting maniac of a sports car.  It’ll do better than 150 mph, go from 0-60 in under 3 seconds, and is street legal.  At under $60,000 US, its attainable by more people than the average sports car.  The Atom is powered by a 2.0L Honda VTEC engine, which is the same production engine you’ll find in Honda’s and Acura’s - the difference is that the Atom weighs only 1005 pounds - a huge distinction between it and the average Acura.

If you are looking for a tiny roadster that will blow everyone’s doors off, then the Ariel Atom is for you.
